When I started investigating fires in vehicles, I had to find a system that would work - after all, my livelihood depended upon it. Back in 1988 I penned a basic methodology that would give my investigations some consistency. It has been enlarged and developed over the years to reflect the experience gained and the technological and engineering advances featured in vehicles. It's bang up to date and uses all the experience gained by my company from the hundreds of vehicle fires we investigate every year.
